Identity-Based Cryptosystem Based on Tate Pairing

    Get PDF
Tate Pairings on Elliptic curve Cryptography are important because they can be used to build efficient Identity-Based Cryptosystems, as well as their implementation essentially determines the efficiency of cryptosystems. In this work, we propose an identity-based encryption based on Tate Pairing on an elliptic curve. The scheme was chosen cipher text security in the random oracle model assuming a variant of computational problem Diff Hellman. This paper provides precise definitions to encryption schemes based on identity, it studies the construction of the underlying ground field, their extension to enhance the finite field arithmetic and presents a technique to accelerate the time feeding in Tate pairing algorithm

A Hybrid Image Encoding Technique with DCT and Mosaic based Segmentation

    Get PDF
Embedding the information in cover image is always an interesting research issue in the field of image steganography. In this paper, we are using a hybrid model with compression, data encoding and image mosiacing technique. Image (pixel values) can be compressed with efficient DCT technique, Data can be embedding in to cover image without losing the data integrity with LSB technique, because usage of significant bits of the image may damage the image and image can be parallel segmented without losing pixel integrity and combined at receiver end with improved noise free image mosaicking technique. Our experimental analysis gives more efficient results than traditional approaches

Exhibition of Bleaching Resistance Via Adaptive Bleaching Pattern by Coral Reefs of the Gulf of Mannar during Massive Bleaching Event 2019

    Get PDF
Coral reefs in the Gulf of Mannar (GoM) and Palk Bay regions are facing potential threats from climate change, sedimentation and anthropogenic activities. Considerably, coral reefs in these two regions are highly damaged due to frequent bleaching events caused by increased sea surface temperature (SST) recorded over the past two decades. Recently, during February to May 2019, mass bleaching event of corals was documented again in GoM and Palk Bay regions due to increased sea surface temperatures ranged between 32°C to 36°C. Despite of completely bleached corals, some coral colonies of the same bleached coral species have displayed adaptive bleaching pattern (ABP) for survival. This incidence is displayed by the symbiotic zooxanthellae to protect coral polyps from environmental stress such as elevated temperatures. These observations infer that coral colonies with preferential bleaching pattern ability would serve as environmental stress resisting coral colonies which can be used for restoration activities and cryopreservation. Further studies are needed to explain the potential mechanisms or specific environmental drivers responsible for ABP.

192-195Two luminescent bacterial strains KOOS1 and KOOS2 isolated from surface mucus of Octopus sp. collected from Andaman were identified by their cellular fatty acid composition analyzation with the help of Microbial Identification system (MIDI). SIM indexes obtained for these isolated strains were 0.772 (KOOS1) and 0.754 (KOOS2) respectively and were identified as Photobacterium damselae and Vibrio fischeri. Major fatty acids found in Photobacterium damselae were Saturated: Dodecanoic acid (C12:0), Tetradecanoic acid (C14:0), Pentadecanoic acid (C15:0), Hexadecanoic acid (C16:0), Heptadecanoic acid (C17:0) and Octadecanoic acid (C18:0); and Unsaturated: 3-hydroxy-9-methyl decanoic acid (C11:0iso 3OH), 3-hydroxydodecanoic(C12:0 3OH), C16:1ω5c, Oleic acid (C18:1ω9c) and C18:1ω5c.In Vibrio fischeri Saturated: C12:0, Tridecanoic acid (C13:0), C15:0, C16:0, C17:0 and C18:0; and Unsaturated: C11:0iso 3OH,2-hydroxydodecanoic (C12:0 2OH), C12:03OH, C13:0iso, C14:0iso, C15:0iso, C15:0anteiso, C16:0iso, C17:0iso, C16:1ω5c, C15:0iso3OH, C17:1 ω8c and C17:1ω6c were found. Cyclopropane acids have not been detected in both Photobacterium damselae and Vibrio fischeri

Occurrence of Salmonella enterica, subspecies enterica serovar Berta (Salmonella Berta) in bovine calves, in Himachal Pradesh, India

Salmonellosis is an important zoonotic disease of economic significance. It infects both man and animals alike around the globe. Salmonella enterica, subspecies enterica serovar Berta (9,12: f, g, t:-) was isolated from three out of five blood samples of 3-6-month-old ailing calves. The isolates were sensitive to ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, ofloxacin and moderately sensitive to gentamicin, lomefloxacin, oxytetracyclines, tetracyclines, but refractory to ampicillin and penicillin. Treatment with enrofloxacin resulted in cent per cent recovery. The infection might have been picked up by calves from poultry birds reared in the same premises. Key words: enrofloxacin, Jersey cross-bred calves, Salmonella Bert

Optimal Design of Hybrid Microgrid for Off Grid Villages

    Get PDF
The Microgrid is a small scale transmission and distribution of power. Microgrid is mostly implemented in the rural villages and remote places which are not accessed by the normal conventional grid. The generation capacity of the micro grids will be less compared to the conventional grids as the demand is also significantly less. The renewable energy source acts as the major generation source for the microgrid when compared to the non-renewable sources. Some of the renewable sources which are used for generation in micro grids are wind, solar, small hydro, biomass etc. Since the renewable energy sources are not instantaneous for the microgrid to supply the load more efficiently and continuously the hybrid sources are required. In hybrid sources two different types of sources are considered in which one will be the conventional source and another will be the non-conventional source. The present work describes the design of a hybrid microgrid system for a remote off grid village in Myanmar. The hybrid microgrid consists of locally available primary energy source (photovoltaic) and diesel generator as a backup source. The main objective of the project is to design a system based on the locally available renewable energy source to electrify the village. To design the system, the energy requirement of the village, the current energy consumption and future demand is estimated through door to door survey. Based on the survey data the system is designed and installed
